The process of scanning and converting microfilm, microfiche and apertrure cards are digitised using state-of-the-art film scanners, capable of digitising upto 1800dpi. Standard film for bulk orders are typically digitised as PDF 300dpi, but working with archives and museums, we are capable of converting film in uncompressed TIFF formats.
Once digitised, the multipage or single page PDF's are then converted using OCR (optical character recognition), enabling clients to have fully searchable and extractable text from the digital images.
Digital output can prepared to our secure FileShare portal, hard drive, USB or clients own FTP systems.
