Microfilm Scanning Services - Microform Imaging
Oxford Duplication Centre offer a variety of choices for microfilm scanning. From standard 300dpi A4 outputs to National Archive Specification TIFF files.
Each order is typically very specific. Our services incorporate an archival element simply due to the changing digital requirements expected nowadays. Current projects include rare Fiche which are required to be scanned to HQ TIFF images for archival storage. Standard orders are more straightforward with A4 Microfilm scanning that are needed for cloud purposes, and as such a smaller digital file required.
All microfilm images may be provided as positives or negatives, more often the latter. Three formats are common: microfilm (reels), microfiche (flat sheets), and aperture cards.
