Magnetic tape has an estimated lifespan of between 10-20 years. No matter the brand, every tape will eventually deteriorate. Even if a tape is beginning to deteriorate (feeling sticky) there is a good chance we can save it.
Our experienced technicians can preserve your audio media in the digital domain and give it an infinite lifespan. We can record analog sources at 44.1, 48, 96, 192 kHz, at 24 or 16 bits.
We stand behind our work and offer a no recovery, no fee guarantee. Your files are secure. All work is performed in-house and in strict confidentiality. Client files are archived for 90-days upon completion of the project, and promptly destroyed thereafter.

Audio DAT Tapes
Digital Audio Tape (DAT or R-DAT) is a signal recording and playback medium developed by Sony and introduced in 1987. Like most formats of videocassette, a DAT cassette may only be recorded and played in one direction, unlike an analog compact audio cassette.
