Reel to Reel (1/4inch magnetic tape) Transfers to CD, WAV and MP3
Domestic 1/4" audio reel to reel tapes are difficult initially to quote due to their ability to capture audio at different speeds; 1 7/8rpm, 3 3/4rpm or 7 1/2prm. Sometimes an audio reel will be recorded in a mixture of 3 different speeds. Rather than charge per reel; which could be 15 minutes long, or upto 4 hours, we charge only by the half hour to support you with keeping your pricing low.
With the age of audio reels, some tapes may require baking. This is where moisture needs to be removed by a specialist oven to enable a clean pass through the machines. A typical example would be high pitched squealing on playback. What is happening is the magnetic binder is being dragged and degraded through the audio heads, resulting in permanent damage to both the tape, audio and machine. We can output to any format, typically WAV, MP3 or CD.
Outputs to include Waveform Audio File Format (WAV, WAVE, Broadcast BWF) AIFF, MP3 or CD in formats 16-bit 44.1 kHz (CD) upto 24-bit 192 kHz for the recommended quality outputs in line with iASA Industry Standards.

Our offices are open Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3pm. Turnaround times are between 7 -15 working days, unless otherwise advised. Urgent orders are always supported but might incur an additional 50% charge.
