Family Reel-to-Reel Magnetic Tape Transfer to CD, WAV or MP3 Service

Based on older open-reel magnetic audio, ¼” reel-to-reel tapes were the popular audio recording source of the 1940s-1960s. Professionals, radio stations, and consumers began using reel-to-reels for their audio recording needs. They provided high quality audio without any of the problems that came with vinyl.

Our professional services support all domestic reel to reels, digitising to our clients preferred output format.  Common questions received are as follows:  

  • How do you convert reel-to-reel tape to digital? We use professional reel decks.
  • Can reel-to-reel tape be transfer to CD? Yes, after transfer we can convert to CD.
  • Is reel-to-reel obsolete? Yes for many years. It is important to convert to avoid loss of sound.
  • How do you use old reel to reel tapes? Using specialist machinery we convert the magnetic sound to digital WAV files.

1. Add all of your items together and either post or bring your order in to our office.

2. If posting, please ensure a letter is within the box, to include your full name, address, email and mobile and post using a tracked service to:

3. Once received, we will prepare an estimate for your approval by email. Once approved, your order will be completed within 15 working days. Urgent orders can be supported but may incur an additional cost.
