Digitising Short Order and Large Order Parish Registers, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials
Parish registers were formally introduced in England and Wales on 5 September 1538 shortly after the formal split with Rome in 1534, when Thomas Cromwell, chief minister to Henry VIII, acting as his Vicar General issued an injunction requiring that in each parish of the Church of England registers of all baptisms, marriages, and burials be kept.
Oxford Duplication provides specialist book scanning in all sizes and paper formats to TIFF, PDF, Word, JPEG and e-book formats. Book scanning can be quite complex with volumes having their own challenges. Our technicians are skilled in ensuring high quality scanning services that support the preservation of precious and fragile volumes to ensure a first time scan and store service for corporate and private collecitons.

We offer resolutions from 150dpi upwards.
