Glass plate negatives are converted into digital formats of your choice from RAW, JPEG,JPEG2000 or TIFF files. Images can be produced in full colour or greyscale depending on your archival requirements.
All glass plate negatives are converted from negative to positive with contrast, tone and archival sharpening as standard to ensure you receive the highest quality digital images.
On one surface of the glass lantern negative it has a light sensitive emulsion. The emulsion is very fragile and requires gentle handling. Our technicians are skilled in handling delicate valuable media and using preservation tools such as gloves and careful cleaning products we can prepare your glass plate negatives, index and metatag is required before returning them back into their relevant envelopes or protective casings.
